Little Yunnan is a local restaurant located in Victoria, BC, Canada. I worked there as a waitress during the summer, and also helped the owner improve their website to attract future clients. Although the restaurant enjoys a strong local reputation, they face challenges during the off-season. This website redesign serves as the first step toward branding and visibility, with the potential to support future business expansion.
Details
Unlike businesses that heavily rely on online orders, Little Yunnan mainly thrives through word-of-mouth. As the first restaurant on Vancouver Island to offer traditional Yunnan rice noodles—a niche Chinese cuisine—the goal of the website was not only to establish a clear online presence but also to introduce and promote this unique culinary tradition. The site aims to spark curiosity and draw in visitors from beyond the immediate neighborhood.
