About

This project was an experiment in exploring a Neoliberal Brutalism aesthetic. I wanted to try a new visual direction, and I noticed that this kind of bare-bones brutalist structure is often used in ticketing platforms or temporary event sites. So I created a concept for a local cinema theater, using this style to see how it could support quick, modular content.

The layout is designed to handle CMS-driven event pages—such as upcoming movie screenings—that need to be updated frequently. The aesthetic works well for card-based structures, where each card is standardized and leads to a straightforward checkout flow. This approach emphasizes clarity and speed over decoration, aligning with the brutalist design philosophy.
